We understand that getting paid on time is important, which is why we operate a daily payroll system. As soon as we receive your timesheet, signed and authorized by the hospital, we guarantee you’ll be paid on time, every time. We offer several payment options to ensure we meet your preferred method.
Limited Company
The vast majority of locum doctors work through their own limited company. When working in the UK as a temporary contractor or locum doctor you are able to utilise the tax benefits of a limited company structure saving you up to 20% in post tax income (take home pay). You must provide us with a Certificate of Incorporation and the Limited Company must have its own bank account. Your salary is paid gross i.e. no deductions but you will be legally liable to submit an annual tax return (completed by an accountant) to HMRC.
PAYE (Pay As You Earn)
By using this method of payment Medecho will become your employer where we would be legally required to deduct the current rate of Income Tax and National Insurance contributions. Your net pay (after deductions) will be transferred directly into your personal bank account.
